The last stage of your preparation is to load your needle into the Sterex Needle Holder.
HOW TO LOAD A TWO-PIECE ELECTROLYSIS NEEDLE
- Place a sterile chuck cap on the brass chuck of the needle holder and gently twist until the cap is halfway down.
- Tear open the needle sachet and remove the needle holding it by its plastic safety cap.
- Place the exposed needle shank into the chuck cap and position it until it’s just proud of the chuck cap opening.
- When the needle is positioned, firmly tighten the chuck cap to secure the needle.
- Firmly twist and pull the plastic covering to remove.
HOW TO LOAD A ONE-PIECE ELECTROLYSIS NEEDLE
- Place a sterile chuck cap on the brass chuck of the needle holder and gently twist until the cap is halfway down.
- Carefully tear off, a needle from the blister pack and open the sachet by peeling the paper side halfway back.
- Cautiously insert the needle shank through the loosened chuck cap into the needle holder, tip the needle upright so it falls gently into the chuck cap opening.
- When the needle is positioned, firmly tighten the chuck cap to secure the needle.
HOW TO REMOVE AN ELECTROLYSIS NEEDLE
Your needle should be removed immediately after the treatment.
- Still wearing gloves, loosen the chuck cap.
- Position the needle holder over the ready opened sharps box and gently tap the needle holder so the needle falls into the box.
- If the needle doesn’t fall out easily, carefully remove the chuck cap, grasp the shank with tweezers and pull the needle out, then place directly into the sharps box.
