International
Therapist, the membership magazine of the UK’s leading professional association
for therapists, the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), has received a
fresh redesign in time for its Spring 2020 issue.
As well as a contemporary
new look and feel, supported by a nature-inspired colour palette and new fonts.
the content of the magazine has had a complete review, to ensure that the articles
continue to reflect the needs of FHT’s members in an ever-evolving industry. Alongside
their favourite therapy, health and business-related features, members can now
enjoy a new set of regulars including ‘Things for Spring…’ and a special guest
column, with Dr Michael
Dixon, GP and national lead for social prescribing, taking up the post for 2020.
‘As a team, we’re
thrilled with our new-look International Therapist’, says Karen Young, FHT’s
editor and communications manager. ‘It’s certainly come a long way since it was
first published in 1994 as an A5, black and white pamphlet with a plain blue cover,
but even back then it was a first for our industry. And we know from our annual
survey that the magazine is still as highly regarded by our members as it was 25
years ago, with more than 95% considering it an important way of staying up to
date with the latest industry and therapy news.
‘Of course, International
Therapist isn’t considered as one of the very best our industry has to offer ‘by
accident’, which is why I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has
made the magazine what it is today, including FHT’s staff and board members, and
all of the contributors, advertisers and media partners who have supported us
over the years.
‘I’d also like
to thank our members – not only do they help us to keep the content on-target, so
many of them are wonderful champions of International Therapist, which is
really clear from the lovely comments we receive on social media each time it’s
published. We hope you continue to enjoy the magazine as much as we do, for many
more years to come.’
A ‘Best
Association Magazine’ finalist in the 2018 Association Excellence Awards, the
FHT looks forward to entering International Therapist into future awards, as it
provides independent recognition of the publication’s quality.
