“Inspirational Educational Day”
“The Sterex educational day is inspirational. The students gain confidence in their epilation from attending and learn about new and exciting treatments and developments within the Industry” said Karen Rayner Lecturer at Amersham & Wycombe College, “we all enjoyed it very much”.
Sterex offer to all Colleges of FE an Educational Day encompassing power point presentation with live footage and demonstrations on Electrolysis, Advanced Cosmetic Procedures, BioSkinJetting and the Carat range of cosmeceuticals and nutriceuticals.
Elaine Stoddart Director of Training for Sterex was delighted to attend the Chesham campus and the Flackwell Heath campus on consecutive days to teach up to 40 students for the new Sterex Educational day. The beauty students involved all started NVQ 3 in September and had briefly covered the electrolysis modalities so part of the day acted as an introduction to the Blend method.
Amersham and Wycombe College is made up of four campuses, has over 2,000 full time students, runs a successful range of HMD’s, Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees and is nationally recognised as a Centre of Vocational Excellence. The Beauty facilities featured in two campuses provide eight large professional salons and offer the full range of both Hairdressing and Beauty Therapies.
Elaine said “I was a lecturer at Amersham & Wycombe years ago. It was delightful to return and see some of my old colleagues and friends and how the college has developed over the years. I was particularly delighted to see that one of my electrolysis students all those years ago - Frances Rippin is now one of the electrolysis lecturers at the college!”
