Sterex is proud to announce the launch of their first full electrolysis qualification for welcoming newcomers to the world of electrolysis. The course is VTCT approved and is delivered over seven intensive days.
This course is a short postgraduate intensive training programme and will consist of practical work, home study, assignments, portfolio with written and practical examinations to gain qualification.
Entry requirements
NVQ level 2 Beauty Therapy or equivalent
This is a post graduate course and a qualification in anatomy and physiology is required

Aim
To enable the practitioner to successfully, confidently and competently carry out electrolysis treatment using any of the three modalities, short wave diathermy, galvanic and the blend method.
Principal Objectives
• Knowledge of the history of electrolysis
• Understand the principles of permanently removing hair
• Understand the needle choice and theory
• Understand the causes of unwanted hair growth
• Understand the contra-indications and after care advice
• Demonstrate competence in practical techniques of electrolysis
Agenda
The course consists of seven days of training. The morning sessions will be held in the lecture room to cover all theoretical study. Following lunch a hands on practical session is held within the Sterex Academy training salon equipped with all of the latest facilities to give the optimum standard of training. The final day of the course is for the practical observations and written examination.
Certification
On completion of the electrolysis programme of training each successful candidate will receive a Sterex certificate of attendance.
On completion of a portfolio of theoretical work and practical assessment each successful candidate will receive internationally recognised V.T.C.T. certification
